A) General nerdly-related talk and nerdisms
B) High-pitched squealing at first sight of Ben Ben and Parliament all lit up like Christmas
C) Terrifying street crossings
D) All of the above (some more than others)
Tonight, Scott and I took off to visit a little area called Covent Garden. It's a hip, trendy little area, so of course we stood out from the crowd.
We ended up down by the River Thames with a perfect view of Big Ben, Parliament and the London Eye on one side and a clear shot of the Gherkin on the other. Sorry for the sucky pictures and video, but it's all I got. Scott may have better.
One of my favorite things about London so far has been crossing the street. Neither Scott nor I know how to do it. We either wait for someone to join us (figuring mass casualties are more newsworthy than two smashed American blokes), or we just close our eyes and run. I suggested that we flail our arms and scream as we sprint along the zebra (zeh-bruh, not zee-bruh) crossings. We have yet to give that a test run. Stay tuned.
The news here has been about a recent rash of stabbings in the city. Our hotel is situated between two big parks, so we've been keeping an extra eye out for stabbies. Wish us luck.
I'm off to bed. We have an early day tomorrow - starting with a seminar about effective online advertising given by Flight magazine.
Then we're going to look for prostitutes.
I'm kidding, Mom.

Wither snapshot of you two tromping across Abbey Road? Maybe you can get some guys on bikes to take it for you.
Return of the grandpa sweater.
Planes, trains and prostitutes...and now romance! This is better than E! Entertainment at night.
Stay away from the stabbies and cabbies! Please take Mary Beth's advice, or at least make sure you're close to near-neutered men on bikes.
Just look both ways before you cross, you Yankee fools. And mind the gap!
