Shareen = Faker.
We've yet to encounter anyone in London who sounds like Shareen. No soft, mannered tone with the elegant vocabulary.
Scott's exaggerated "Allo, guv'nuh!" spoiled me into thinking that all Brits sound ridiculous. Well, they don't. In fact, most of the voiceovers we've heard sound American with a slight British accent.
We slept in a bit today. It took me about 3.2 seconds to fall asleep last night once my head hit the pillow.
We met a lovely lass on the train to the show today. Her name was Sarah (which she let us know means "princess"). She lives in Farnborough, but wasn't attending the show. She works for some back-end vendor for CreditSuisse and JPMorgan. We had a conversation about social media (shout out to all my Interactive homies). She was the first nice Londoner (Londonite? Londarian?) we've met who wasn't riding a bike. Scott has a very plausible theory about that.
The show was pretty much amazing today. We got to see the A380 take off on a VERY short runway, escorted by British Red Darts. The A380 is a marvel. I know David thinks it's a cumbersome beast, but this thing looked like a graceful whale smimming in the sky. Unbelievable. I have footage of it, and I think Scott has some to upload.
We also got to see a 777-3ooER up close, but we didn't get to go inside. It was massive, but compared to the A380, it's miniscule.
We visited our booths a bit today, again. We each took a ton of photos, which I'll load after this post. The highlight of the day came when we spotted a couple of women taking photos of themselves in front of the GE display.
Keep the comments coming. We think they're great - even the ones Seth's posting under fake names.
We're off to eat and see a wee bit of London for the first time.

Yeah Scott - at least this wrong meal wasn't in a casserole dish!
Have you seen any guys that look/talk/sneer like Billy Idol yet? I can see Scott doing the Rebel Yell on the train.

Wish I were there! My favorite TV show is "As Time Goes By" -- the old Judy Densch BBC sitcom -- and if I knew where they'd filmed there exteriors, I have to take pix if it's close by in London.
Have fun! Keep us posted...
What I TRIED to say was "where they'd filmed THEIR exteriors, I'd have asked you to take pix..." (long day here, too.) Be good...
Loving the photos and the play by play but you're KILLING me here. But I'm thrilled to see you there and seeing your work. The flying must be amazing. And I'm so impressed by your expertise with all of the lingo. We have this aero/defense thing down!
Mind the gap.....
